Associate Therapist

Position Summary

We are currently seeking a warm, motivated, and committed Associate Clinical Social Worker/ Therapist to join our growing private practice. This is an excellent opportunity for pre-licensed therapists who are passionate about serving clients in a flexible and supportive setting.

Location: In person/Telehealth - Hybrid options (California-based)

Job Type: Flexible Schedule

Compensation: $35.00per clinical hour - $45.00 per clinical hour

Responsibilities

  • Provide psychotherapy via In person and Telehealth to individuals, couples, and/or families of all ages.

  • Maintain a minimum weekly caseload

  • Complete timely and accurate documentation in our Electronic Health Record (EHR) system (Simple Practice)

  • Attend weekly clinical supervision and case consultations.

  • Adhere to ethical guidelines and legal standards set by the BBS.

  • Collaborate with team members and maintain professional communication.

Minimum Requirements

Master’s Degree

Completed a master’s program in Social Work (MSW), from an accredited institution.

Active Registration with the California BBS

Must be registered with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) as an:
ASW (Associate Clinical Social Worker).

Registration number must be active and in good standing.

Residency

Must reside in the state of California and be legally authorized to work in the U.S.

Supervision Eligibility

Must be able to receive supervision from a qualified clinical supervisor.

Availability

Willing to maintain a minimum caseload.

Open to flexible scheduling including evenings or weekends if needed.

Willing to maintain an average of 20 sessions per week.

Technology & Documentation Skills

Comfortable using telehealth platforms and Electronic Health Records (EHRs).

Able to complete timely and compliant clinical documentation with completion same day as service rendered.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience providing therapy in a clinical or internship setting.

  • Familiarity with evidence-based practices (e.g., CBT, DBT, mindfulness, trauma-informed care).

  • Experience working with diverse populations and/or bilingual abilities.

  • Interest in working with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, or relationship issues.

  • Late night and weekend availability requested
