  • Hola, I’m Alanna Villanueva, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in California. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition and Food Science and a Master’s in Social Work—both from California Baptist University. My journey into social work began with a deep calling to care for and serve others, and over the years, that calling has grown into a meaningful career supporting individuals, families, and communities both across California and internationally. My clinical background includes work with a variety of populations, including individuals navigating body image challenges with their relationship with food, mamas in the pregnancy and postpartum seasons, and those processing spiritual pain or experiences of church hurt. I believe healing is multi-dimensional—physical, emotional, and spiritual—and I strive to meet people with compassion wherever they are on that journey. Now, I have the privilege of walking alongside Associate Clinical Social Workers as a clinical supervisor. It’s an honor to mentor and support new clinicians as they build confidence, deepen their clinical skills, and take meaningful steps toward licensure and lifelong practice. • My name is Kathleen Iwuoha, and I am a dedicated mental health professional with a passion for serving diverse and often underserved populations. I earned my undergraduate degree from California State University of Fullerton (2011–2015) and am currently completing my graduate studies at Grand Canyon University (2022–2025).

For the past nine years, I have worked with a wide range of clients, including high-risk incarcerated offenders—male, female, and transgender youth and young adults—as well as individuals struggling with alcohol and substance use disorders, survivors of sexual, emotional, and physical abuse, and individuals managing various mental health conditions.

I am deeply committed to understanding each client’s unique story and challenges. I believe in creating individualized, structured treatment plans that empower my clients to build resilience and achieve long-term success. My primary therapeutic modality is Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), which I value for its structured, skills-based, and evidence-informed approach to helping clients regulate emotions, improve relationships, and build distress tolerance.

Outside of my professional work, I enjoy traveling and exploring different cultures. My most recent adventures took me to Tanzania and Seychelles, experiences that further deepened my appreciation for diversity and global perspectives.

I strive to bring empathy, structure, and a nonjudgmental approach to my work, creating a safe and supportive space where meaningful growth and lasting change can occur.
